Back in 2021 or 2022, I purchased the Individual Lifetime plan when it was first introduced. My Projects Were Deactivated Without Warning<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to various personal reasons and external circumstances, I had paused my blogging for a while. When I logged back in, I discovered that Ubersuggest had completely <em>deactivated<\/em> my old projects. I understand if data is no longer being crawled or updated \u2014 that&#8217;s fine. But stopping the projects entirely? That&#8217;s unreasonable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For comparison, I\u2019ve had a free project on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qingsongb2c.com\/goto\/semrush\/\">SEMrush<\/a> for even longer, and they continue to update and email me with insights about my site\u2019s rankings and SEO performance. That\u2019s the kind of long-term value I expected from a paid lifetime tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.qingsongb2c.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Ubersuggest-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"Ubersuggest\" class=\"wp-image-22189\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Feature Limitations (a.k.a. Functionality Downgrade)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After re-adding my project, I noticed that some features had been downgraded. For example, the number of keywords and regions I could track had decreased. Worse, it kept pushing me to \u201cadd competitors,\u201d and there was no option to turn this off. Not everyone needs that feature \u2014 especially individual bloggers like me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. SD (SEO Difficulty) Now Requires Extra Credits?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This was the biggest surprise. In the past, when I searched for a keyword, Ubersuggest would show SEO Difficulty (SD) data by default. Now, it requires <em>extra credits<\/em> to access. Why? I&#8217;m already a paid lifetime user. Constant Pressure to Upgrade to Business Plan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m clearly on the Individual plan \u2014 which should be more than enough for a solo blogger. But Ubersuggest keeps pushing me to upgrade to the Business plan. It feels like I\u2019m being told: \u201cYou\u2019re not a real user unless you pay more.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. The Whole Platform Is Now Packed with Paid Add-Ons<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Everywhere I click, I see reminders of features that are only available to higher-tier (usually Business) plans. The interface feels cluttered with upgrade prompts. This wasn\u2019t what I signed up for. But over time, it has become increasingly commercialized, cluttered with upgrade nags, and less user-friendly for those who aren&#8217;t paying monthly fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re a solo blogger or a small site owner, I\u2019d strongly suggest looking elsewhere. Even some <em>free<\/em> tools provide a more stable and respectful experience than what Ubersuggest now offers to its so-called \u201clifetime\u201d users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I used to be a fan of Ubersuggest.
